European small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) had the opportunity to converge in Bilbao, Spain, for the 2023 SME Assembly, a pivotal event dedicated to fostering innovation, sustainable practices, and growth among Europe's dynamic business sector. From November 13th to 15th, the Bilbao Exhibition Centre hosted a series of high-level discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities aimed at empowering SMEs to navigate the ever-evolving business landscape and seize new opportunities. Attendees had the chance to connect with fellow entrepreneurs, explore the latest Industry 4.0 advancements, and discover innovative solutions tailored to the needs of small and medium-sized businesses.
Organized by the Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs of the European Commission in collaboration with the Spanish Presidency of the European Union and the Government of the Basque Country, the SME Assembly was a testament to the EU's commitment to supporting the growth and success of its SME community.
