Open Data Day (ODD) is an annual celebration of open data all over the world.
This year Tourism 4.0 joined two interesting events, organised by the Ministry of Public Administration and Ministry of Digital Transformation.
The first event was the meeting for content editors at the portal Open data of Slovenia to present the latest trends and developments in the field of open data, crucial for transparency, innovation, and participation in the digital society. The gathering was also an opportunity to exchange best practices and to discuss about the improvement of the quality and usability of data on the portal.
Following the first event a meeting was organized for participants in Slovenia's open data ecosystem. At the meeting Slovenia's consistent efforts in ensuring access to open data and promoting its use was highlighted. These efforts lead to a rise in the OECD OURData index from 10th to 7th place since 2019. Participants also learned about examples of best practices in data reuse during the event.
