As tourism companies increasingly operate through digital channels, mobile applications, and online booking systems, cybersecurity has become a cornerstone of secure and trustworthy business operations. A single security breach can lead to the loss of sensitive data, damage to reputation, and significant legal costs. At the same time, disinformation — false or misleading information that spreads rapidly online — poses a growing threat to the sector.
The TREADS project responds to these challenges with the creation of a Digital Library— a structured collection of resources designed to support educators, learners, and professionals in the tourism and VET (Vocational Education and Training) sectors. It compiles carefully selected links to external materials covering key areas such as cyber threats and cybersecurity, fake news and disinformation, digital skills, policy and regulation, as well as technology and tourism-specific content.
The repository brings together articles, frameworks, case studies, and downloadable resources, especially tailored to the needs of small and micro-tourism enterprises. Organised into thematic categories, it offers user-friendly access to high-quality materials for education, research, and professional development.
Explore the TREADS Digital Repository and discover a reliable platform to strengthen your digital capabilities and resilience. The project website also offers a Good Practice Manual with practical guidance on organising awareness-raising activities, implementing the EQAVET framework, and enhancing professional development using digital tools.
