This three-day event is tailored for cultural heritage professionals – from museum staff to digitisation specialists – who want to strengthen their knowledge and gain practical experience with 3D technologies.
A Three-Day Learning Experience
Participants can look forward to a dynamic mix of:
- Inspiring keynotes from leading experts in digital and cultural heritage
- Hands-on training with the latest 3D tools, techniques, and workflows
- Collaborative sessions designed to encourage exchange and long-term networking
Organised in cooperation with the Twin it! Part II campaign by the Europeana Foundation and the European Commission, the Winter School is part of the 3D-4CH project’s mission to build a European Online Competence Centre for 3D cultural heritage. The aim is to empower institutions and professionals across Europe to navigate the digital shift with greater confidence and skill.
Whether you are just beginning to explore 3D or already advancing digitisation projects, the Winter School offers the chance to discover new tools, exchange best practices, and help shape the future of digital heritage.

About the Project
The 3D-4CH Project is establishing a European Online Competence Centre to support cultural institutions in making the most of 3D and other advanced technologies. Aligned with the European Commission’s 2021 Recommendation on 3D digitisation of cultural heritage, the platform will provide training, guidelines, standards, and best practices, while showcasing high-quality 3D content.
Arctur is leading the development of the Competence Centre, building on existing infrastructures to deliver a user-friendly platform. It will integrate tools for 3D storage, visualisation, and interpretation, while also exploring innovative approaches to storytelling and visitor engagement in XR. Feedback from stakeholders will help refine and enhance the tools and services offered.
