The EU-funded project, 3D-4CH (Online Competence Centre in 3D for Cultural Heritage), is rapidly advancing its mission to revolutionize cultural heritage preservation across Europe and Ukraine. The initiative aims to establish a central, vibrant online hub that empowers cultural professionals with training, tools, and resources in cutting-edge areas like 3D digitization, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and eXtended Reality (XR).
ARCTUR is playing a pivotal role in this transformative initiative, leading Work Package 4 (WP4), which is dedicated to the development of the essential online platform supporting the competence centre.
Current Status and Outlook
The 3D-4CH platform is currently under active development. Simultaneously, project partners are diligently collecting a wealth of rich content, including specialized training courses, knowledge base resources, and digital tools. This curated content will form the core offering of the new competence centre. This comprehensive online resource is scheduled for a public launch at the end of January 2026, promising to be a game-changer for professionals working to safeguard and share cultural treasures for future generations.
