Even though Coronavirus self-isolation has a devastating effect on tourism, this situation is a unique opportunity to learn a great deal about the effects of tourism impact that could not otherwise be possible. If we compare the current state with virtually no tourism activities to the measures of tourism activities before and after the pandemic, we will be able to understand the true impact tourism has on our planet and economy. To achieve this, Alliance for Innovators and Researchers in Tourism and Hospitality (AIRTH) and Tourism 4.0 Partnership joined forces for sustainable and responsible tourism development in (post) COVID-19 world and initiated #TourismFromZero to foster more economically viable and sustainable tourism in the future.

The #TourismFromZero initiative is the result of an international collaboration between academics and tourism stakeholders. All insights will be shared anonymously and in an aggregate manner. See the insights and word-clouds, which are recalculated based on the received feedback you select. In addition, there are quotes from the survey respondents that are updated every few minutes.

In order to rebuild tourism for the future and not merely aim to return to the status quo, ideas are gathered and voted for. Moreover, for each idea, a discussion is enabled to get our industries “from zero to hero” together.  Join us and add your two cents to the one-stop-shop for problems and solutions surrounding travel, tourism, hospitality and leisure.
