Brussels, May 14, 2025 – The Europeana Digital Storytelling Festival 2025 wrapped up two days of vibrant discussions, workshops, and creative showcases. Held virtually on May 13–14, the event brought together educators, students, digital creatives, and cultural heritage professionals from across Europe and beyond. The event aimed at creating connections between art, culture and history and the contemporary world.
Urska Starc Peceny from ARCTUR joined the conversation and presented the XRCulture initiative that explores cultural heritage through advanced technology. In addition to the XRCulture, Urska also spotlighted DEPLOYTOUR and D3HUB, both of which contribute uniquely to the evolving landscape of tourism data.
Europeana’s 2025 edition of the festival demonstrated the growing role of storytelling in preserving and reinterpreting Europe’s cultural identity. Through collaborative innovation, the festival encouraged new voices to contribute to the digital cultural sphere, ensuring diverse narratives continue to thrive in the digital age.
