Recognising the importance of open data in creating added value and driving innovation for businesses, the SUPOP project was launched with the idea that this issue could be addressed by developing a comprehensive methodology to assess the maturity of open data use in Slovenian companies.
Central to this methodology is a complete multi-criteria model, a key component of the freely accessible, interactive digital tool SUPOP AAT, which enables organisations to assess their readiness for open data use.
The SUPOP AAT is freely available in Slovene at the following link.
The digital tool SUPOP AAT automates the process of evaluating the maturity level of companies and organisations in their use of open data. Its advanced decision-making model automatically converts responses entered by users or organisational representatives through an online questionnaire into a report.
The automatically generated report provides a visualisation and detailed explanation of the results, along with tailored recommendations for each organisation, supporting them in developing an open data strategy. Additionally, the report can serve as a foundation for companies when preparing a concrete action plan to achieve their business goals, enhancing the potential to create business value with open data.
Faculty of Organizational Sciences at the University of Maribor, the lead partner of the SUPOP project, guided the design and development of the decision-making model and the content of the online questionnaire within the SUPOP AAT. The technical foundation of the SUPOP AAT is based on the award-winning Automated Assessment Tool from Arctur, which led the setup process.
The SUPOP project is funded by the Slovenian Research Agency and the ministry of Digital Transformation of Slovenia.
