The 7th UNESCO UNITWIN conference took place at FTŠ Turistica in Portorož, Slovenia between 15 and 20 May 2022. Turistica, with the theme 'Responding to the challenges in a changing world, attracted 153 participants from 35 countries and 5 continents in the span of 5 days. The conference provided in-depth insight as well as, actionable and practical tools of engagement models, methods and mechanisms through a series of deepened valuable presentations, insightful discussions and invaluable networking. On the opening day of the conference, dr. Urska Starc Peceny addressed the audience as a speaker at "World Heritage and Tourism Innovation", where she shared and presented great experiences and knowledge on the digital innovation of Cultural Heritage in Slovenia.
