Participants of the fifth Web3 Accelerator programme workshop acquired new practical skills in the field of automation, hyperautomation and robotic process automation (RPA). The workshop, organised by Arctur in collaboration with the Slovene Enterprise Fund, was convened at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia in Ljubljana on Tuesday November 29th 2022.
The lecturer Dr Dragan Kusić is the head of mechatronics department at Tecos and member of the British Institute of Measurement and Control. Tapping into his rich experience in the field of management and implementation of national and international R&D projects (he is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Polymer Technology and an author of over 40 scientific and professional articles and owner of one patent) showcased how to handle large amounts of information stemming from introducing information and communication technology (ITC) to enterprise processes (i. e. INDUSTRY 4.0), debated the use of MES, ERP, CRM and CPS systems in business automation, and more.
Lecturer’s tips from the workshop are namely:
- Management support is crucial for the implementation of INDUSTRY 4.0 standards. It is urgent that the transition involves all actors within the company.
- Production upgrades must be undertaken prudently and with a lot of patience, as it may be necessary to first carry out a detailed examination of the current situation.
- Production upgrades require certain financial investment. The investment gets reimbursed by choosing optimal upgrade options.
We are all grateful for Dr Dragan Kusić’s efforts for providing knowledge-centred support needed by innovative companies for rapid global growth.
