The first blockchain technologies were used in the financial industry more than a decade ago. Since than experts have found various ways of implementing these state-of-the-art technologies in almost any industry vertical.
Tourism is definitely the industry which could greatly benefit when using blockchain technologies for building unique solutions in the field of sustainable tourism. Tomaž Furlan, CEO of Lucis and Tomi Ilijaš. CEO of Arctur, presented Tourism 4.0 from the view of personalisation and digitisation of tourist experience at the virtual event Evolution of blockchain technology. Speakers presented the project and focused on the practical use of blockchain. Namely, blockchain will be utilised to provide tourists with a better user experience through a single identity and the use of Collaboration Impact Token – CIT.
