Dry winter days are perfect for digitisation of immovable cultural heritage. These days, Arctur's team of experts led by Dejan Šuc, Head of Innovation Department, stayed at Debela Griža, Slovenia, where they used photogrammetry to create a high-quality 3D model of the mighty fortified hillfort ring from the Bronze and Iron Ages, located there. With 14 hectares, the area will likely be one the largest cultural heritage locations ever scanned in Slovenia.
The team followed the technical standards of Tourism 4.0 initiative in the process to ensure the quality of the visual material produced. High quality 3D scans and 3D models of any cultural heritage are one of the crucial steps not only in research and preservation of heritage but also one of the first steps of creating digitally enriched tourism 4.0 experiences.
