Partners of the Beyond Snow project are currently busy with activities related to the assessment of snow tourism destinations resilience connected to climate change. The goal is to empower decision makers with counter measured backed by the resilience indicators integrated in a comprehensive system specifically designed for snow tourism destinations. This will help them to tackle their unique challenges head-on. Partners are currently identifying a set of resilient indicators that will assess a destination's ability to withstand and recover from various stresses and shocks due to the climate change. This set of indicators will also help in creating a Resilience Adaptation Model which will be the foundation for a Resilience Decision-Making Digital Tool (RDMD). RDMD Tool will use the same Tourism 4.0 technology (AAT) that has enabled Tourism Impact Model (used in Interreg Danube and EMFF Black Sea projects) as well as Digital Readiness Index used in Tourbit (COSME project), Smart Destination Index used in EU flagship project Smart Tourism Destinations (DG Grow) amongst many other. This tool will allow destinations to easily measure their tourism impact and resilience while providing suggestions for improvements.
