Cross-Re-Tour project partners met at Breda to kick-off this exciting project which will address challenges in green and digital transition for tourism SMEs, offering support, matchmaking, and even financial backing for innovative cross-sectoral projects. 8 project partners from 8 different countries discussed the working plan of the project and decided on the following steps to take.
The project will start with identifying tourism SME challenges regarding the green and digital transition. For this purpose, partners will engage with them in an online dialogue to gather useful insights and create a tool for SMEs to assess their readiness to embark on the path of transition. Useful information gathered from the engagement of the tourism SMEs will serve as a basis for planning the following activities, SME support through the knowledge hub and the open innovation programme. In a later stage, the project will also include a call for proposals to award tourism SME with financial support to implement their innovative cross-sectoral projects with service providers.
