On Friday December 9th 2022 the EDIH DIGI-SI Community Days took place in Maribor, where the European hub for the digital transformation was officially opened. Arctur, together with other partners of the DIGI-SI consortium, presented technological solutions to support digitalization in areas of manufacture, tourism, agri-food and healthcare.
The DIGI-SI consortium consists of seven partners: University of Maribor (coordinator), Jožef Stefan Institute (Technology and Innovation Transfer Center), Arctur (SME), Toolmakers cluster of Slovenia, Technology Park Ljubljana, DIH Slovenia, and Innovation Technology Cluster Murska Sobota.
In the next 3 years, the consortium will provide support worth at least 3.3 million euros for the digitisation of the Slovenian economy (enterprises – SMEs, start-ups, scale-ups and others) and public institutions. Services offered are going to cover: pre-investment checks, skills development and maturity, providing assistance in finding investors and innovation ecosystem dissemination. Arctur will be responsible for the tourism pillar and is looking forward to co-initiate the network of tourism focused eDIHs around Europe.
The applicants of the Digital Innovation Challenge Competition presented their projects at the event. The winning digital innovation was brought forward by the startup mPOR – a device named L-POR is the first commercially available high-frequency electroporator and the first device that also generates asymmetrical bipolar pulses. The team’s long-term intention is to develop the device for use for medical purposes.
We wish all the best to mPOR and hope they maintain their customer centric modus operandi, as such an approach is at the heart of the DIGI-SI consortium. And speaking about timely and efficient service delivery, we are happy to inform you that all the DIGI-SI partners are currently working on implementing various features of the DIGI-SI online shop, such as Academy, Virtual agent, supported by Live agents and Digital emergency hotline. Stay tuned for more information!
