Dr Urska Starc Peceny proudly presented different projects that include innovation by IoT as a keynote speaker at the IEEE IoT Vertical and Topical Summit for Tourism. Such projects include for example SD4TIM - Space Data for TIM financed by ESA and T 4.0 Alpine Flows. T 4.0 Alpine Flows is a project in which the Alpine Association of Slovenia, CIPRA Slovenia and Alpine society Tržič are setting up a footfall monitoring system, to monitor the number of visits to different hiking trails. The system collects real-time data on visits to five popular destinations in order to provide a better understanding of the visits in the Alpine area and to support the sustainable rerouting of Alpine flows.
