We're delighted to share that Turistica celebrated a stellar win at the Hack Startup Village 2022, an event organized by AgriFood Lithuania and sponsored by the European Commission. Their Student sustainable TOUrism Development & Innovation Office – sTOUdio Turistica team emerged victorious in a challenging weekend hackathon.
The sTOUdio Turistica team, comprised of mentor Tadej Rogelja and students Jaka Godejša, Rudi Medved, and Anna Marie Strmecki, addressed the task of creating an attractive village for living, working, and doing business. Their innovative solutions and tireless efforts shone through.
The intense weekend bore fruitful results as the team's idea of a "Living Learning Lab" swept away the competition. The concept, aiming to physically connect digital nomads, students, and local providers in the villages, won the hearts of the jury. Their compelling five-minute pitch, coupled with articulate answers to the jury's questions, secured them a cash prize of €2,000 and an invitation to present their idea at one of the leading European forums, the Startup Village Forum, organized by the European Commission.
